78. Happy Father’s Day — A Poem
Saturday, June 9th, 2007A Love Song from A Bird to A Tree
When I’m tired of flying,
I will rest my feet on your arms,
That are always wide open,
And never tire of reaching out to me.
I feel warm because I have you,
A shelter from the rain,
A shield from the wind,
A shade from the sun.
I do not have to worry about hunger,
I do not have to worry about thirst.
I know I can always feed on,
The fruits of your hard labour.
I grow stronger and you grow weaker,
On each and every day we spend together.
You have so much to offer,
Yet I have so little to give in return.
I know I can never repay you,
But I would like to sing to you,
To show you how much I love and care about you,
Each and every day.
